Finance Manager
Marble Valley Regional Transit District (MVRTD) is seeking a highly qualified Finance Manager. The Finance Manager is responsible for leading MVRTD’s accounting and finance staff and functions to ensure the overall financial health of the organization. The Finance Manager works collaboratively with stakeholders, internal and external to MVRTD, to ensure we are operating effectively and efficiently. The Finance Manager is responsible for budget administration, risk management, financial analysis, forecasting, data analysis, fixed asset accounting, oversight of payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. The Finance Manager is accountable for the entire accounting and finance operation of MVRTD.
Oversees the management and ensures compliance for all State and Federal Grants. Works closely with the Executive Director, Managers and Supervisors to develop systems, standards, and procedures to ensure grant funds are maximized and all accounting and reporting requirements are met.
Provides timely and accurate reports to MVRTD Board of Commissioners and associated agencies. Assumes primary responsibility for the execution of the annual audit by independent and/or elected auditors to fulfill local, state, and federal audit requirements.
Oversees and ensures the accuracy of all external reporting required of the payroll function (W-2s, 1099s, 941s, as well as all State required reporting) Maintains an accounting system that complies with financial reporting requirements. Performs, or assists with periodic internal audits to ensure compliance with MVRTD’s policies, State Law, established accounting practices and departmental operating practices. Identifies areas of concern, apprises Executive Director of issue and risks, recommends methods of improvement, and implements agreed-upon solutions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance.
CPA strongly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years in a senior finance role.
Proven strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
Proven knowledge of grant administration, budgeting and compliance monitoring.
Experience with financial software and reporting tools
Excellent communication and leadership skills

Marketing Coordinator
Marble Valley Regional Transit District is looking to add a creative, self-driven Marketing Coordinator to our team!
The professional we are looking for will have visual, verbal and written communication expertise in marketing, sales and data analytics. The Marketing Coordinator will be pivotal in assisting with branding, internal and external communications, public events, social media and our website. They will help strategize and implement marketing efforts for the company and assist other team members in supervising key campaigns, conducting market research and reviewing ridership data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, execute, track and monitor strategic marketing campaigns.
- Conduct research and analyze market trends and customer behavior to maximize outreach, ridership and partnerships.
- Support branding and advertising.
- Support the Senior Leadership team with content and ideas.
- Work with HR to expand recruitment efforts.
- Grow the company’s visibility and public awareness.
- Monitor company social media accounts.
- Be the point person for all advertising and social media posts and updates.
- Create reports and present significant information for service expansion and outreach.
- Attend meetings to discuss upcoming service changes, events, programs and any other objectives.
- Attend conferences and events to meet with vendors, partners and potential customers and deepen organizational connections.
- Monitor marketing budgets.
- Work with vendors when necessary.
- Oversee the successful publication of marketing materials.
- Coordinating marketing efforts between outside vendors and management.
Educational Requirements: A Bachelor’s Degree in marketing and 2-5+ years of previous experience. Or an Associate’s Degree, a proof of internship and 3-5+ years of previous experience. Or a high school diploma and the following certifications: Google Analytics Certification, Professional Certified Marketer- a certificate from the American Marketing Association and 3-5+ years of experience and a marketing portfolio. Or a mix of these experiences that are equivalent.
Skills Required:
- Strong project management skills and the ability to plan and complete multiple ongoing projects.
- Creativity in planning and creating marketing materials like graphics and written content.
- Technology knowledge and the ability to work with computers, mobile phones and tablets to coordinate digital communication and strategies. Also, the ability to use computers to create and design marketing materials or analyze data with marketing software.
- Be a confident problem solver.
- Respond to a customer complaint on a social media.
Marketing Coordinator work environment:
- Much of the workday is in an office setting.
- Meeting with vendors in public or at their establishments.
- Will work closely with the Senior Leadership team members.
- Sitting at a desk for long periods.
- Communicate frequently using a phone and email.
